The Rotary Club of Aurora (www.aurorarotary.org) is a 91 year old service club and is a part of Rotary International (www.rotary.org). The Festival of Lights was conceived and executed in 2006 by members of the club and in partnership with the City of Aurora became a reality the very same year.
The light show is in its eleventh season and features over 420 displays. The Festival is a driving display – you see it from your car. The Festival is free. We do collect free will donations from those who want to show their appreciation and support community needs.
The light show begins the day after Thanksgiving, Friday Nov 24, and runs through the day after Christmas, Dec 26. On Fridays and Saturdays we are open from 5 – 10PM. All other days of the week we are open from 5 – 9 PM.
Buses are welcome! Clearance is 13 feet, 6 inches.
This year we are adding dancing arcs and a 20-foot sign proclaiming the Weisner Ice Rink.
Our sponsors are the exclusive source of new displays and any service we must hire such as electrification or crane and lift usage.
